Bridgeport's police chief was honored for looking after some of the four-legged residents of the Park City.

A ceremony was held Thursday to commend Chief AJ Perez for his work to help relocate a colony of cats living outside the Bridgeport Health Care Center.

Employees at the center had been caring for the cats but were told to stop when new management took over.
