Bridgeport police are hoping new surveillance video will help them find the suspects in an armed robbery.

Police say two suspects went into the Citgo gas station on East Main Street late Wednesday night.

One had a sawed-off shotgun drawn.

The cashier tried to lock himself behind bullet-proof glass, but one of the robbers fired at the lock and blew the door open.

Detectives say the suspects then used the clerk's belt to tie him up while they stole money and cigarettes.

Police say the clerk did the right thing by not trying to fight them off.
