A Bridgeport police officer was fired following the results of a disciplinary hearing.
Officer Gianni Capozziello had been a member of the department since 2016.
It is currently unclear what led to his termination.
"It's an extremely unfortunate situation to have to terminate the employment of an officer, but strict adherence to policies and procedures must be maintained, we wish Officer Capozziello the very best in his future endeavors," said Bridgeport Police Chief Roderick Porter.
