Bridgeport Public Schools announced an early dismissal Tuesday due to the heat.
Bridgeport Public Schools posted to the district's Facebook page that "the heat is becoming overwhelming in many buildings."
10:45 a.m. - Bridgeport Military Academy
11:00 a.m. - Fairchild Wheeler Campus
11:30 a.m. - Harding, Bassick, Central, Aquaculture
12:30 p.m. - All Elementary Schools
The district said there would also be no Lighthouse After School Program.
