Several Bridgeport seniors who spoke with News 12 Connecticut said their apartments at Augustana Homes on Palisade Avenue are infested with bedbugs.

Attorney Dennis Bradley interpreted for the seniors who don't speak English.

"They say they're being bitten by bedbugs 24/7 and they're terrified to go to sleep at night because the bedbugs will just devour them," Bradley said.

"Several of the seniors have gone to stay with friends and family - and that's not fair to them," Bradley said.

The Bridgeport Health Department says it's investigating.

News 12 has reached out to the property managers, but they have not yet responded.
