Students and teachers at a Bridgeport elementary school were staying positive Wednesday after the loss of a beloved staff member.
Terra Holloway, a security officer at Curiale School, passed away unexpectedly earlier this month.
The teachers and students decided to turn a scheduled rally against violence Wednesday into a celebration of her life.
Fellow guard Harry Bell says the event was cathartic for Holloway's friends and co-workers.
“When I went up there to speak, after I finished, it felt like a burden was lifted off my shoulders,” Bell says.
Bell says Holloway left big shoes to fill.
"She took her job home…She did not stop caring after 3 o'clock," he says.
