A Bridgeport supermarket took steps to protect its employees and customers from coronavirus.
Optimus Healthcare provided free testing at Gala Foods on East Main Street today.
Organizers say the only way to control the spread of coronavirus is for the public to be vigilant about getting tested.
"We need every single body from the community to come down, get tested and find out what the results are, so if we are COVID-19 positive to stay secluded from everybody and stop the spread. The most important thing is trying to stop the spread. So we're here at Gala Foods are trying to prevent that. We want people to come down and get tested as soon as possible," says Gala Foods CEO Alex Pena.
