Bridgeport is trying a new alternative for fixing potholes by leasing a truck known as the "Pothole Killer."

Bridgeport's road maintenance supervisor Craig Nadrizny says the truck is environmentally friendly, cost-effective and quick when it comes to repairing potholes. The city is leasing the truck from the Pennsylvania company that invented it.

The driver maneuvers a hose and sprays a formula into the cracked surface, fixing the pothole. The repair is expected to last five to seven years.

Bridgeport plans to lease the truck for three months and then will evaluate how it worked and how much it costs.
