While many people in the city of Bridgeport are shoveling their properties and digging out their cars, city crews are using the latest GPS technology to respond to residents in need of assistance.
The technology being used gives crews smartphone notifications from residents using the city's Veoci system.
The system allows people to report problems such as blocked streets, and receive immediate response from city crews.
The technology is part of the city's coordinated response to the snow emergency and the situations it left in its wake.
