A Bridgeport-based dairy company is making home milk deliveries during the COVID-19 pandemic for the first time in decades.
It's been 28 years since Wade's Dairy in Bridgeport has offered delivery service for things like milk, eggs and butter, but the COVID-19 pandemic is bringing back the old tradition.
Company President Doug Wade says deliveries will be made available to the greater Bridgeport area and many towns throughout western Connecticut.
Wade says business dropped off dramatically when schools closed due to the pandemic, and the deliveries are one way to revive sales and help people stay at home and stay safe.
Home deliveries will begin Monday, and there's a $20 minimum and a $10 delivery fee. Customers can email the company at
homedelivery@wadesdairy.com.
