Broadway Week offers theatergoers discount tickets to some performances

Buying tickets to some Broadway shows just became less expensive for theatergoers.
A two-for-the-price-of-one ticket offer was launched with Broadway Week, which runs for nearly one month.
Some 20 Broadway plays and musicals are participating. Ticket buyers must purchase and attend the show by Feb. 12. Not all performances of a particular show may be available at a discounted price.
Broadway Week is typically held right after the holidays when fewer tourists visit New York City. Since two-thirds of Broadway tickets are purchased by people living outside the tristate area, Broadway Week is an incentive to get more people into the theatres.
