Borough President Vanessa Gibson has won the primary.

Gibson was first elected as BP in 2021. She won that race with just over 50% of the vote. She is both the first woman and Black person to hold the position. Some of the issues she has championed are improving access to food and nutrition in The Bronx and bridging the digital divide in local schools.
