Students at Bullard-Havens Technical High School took another step toward their future Wednesday.
Employers met and interviewed over 70 students in the automotive program for entry-level technician positions.
Students also learned about different career pathways and advancement opportunities.
By participating, they were able to practice and improve their interview and communications skills.
The head of the department says these interviews can lead to job shadowing opportunities and create connections for the future.
"That kind of lets them see well this is what I want to work towards and this is a place I would like to work at. They can earn that job and they can go out two-three days a week even during shop school time. and they can work and get paid. And they are going to be so far ahead of the crowd because they already have their foot in the door and they are learning skills," says Roxanne Amiot.
