St. Joseph High pitcher Nick Coppola may have lost his no-hit bid, but his team did not lose the game.
Norwalk's Xavier Gonzalez broke up the no-hitter with a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Down to their final out, the Bears went on to score two runs to send the game into extra innings behind Jacob Fields's two-run homerun.
The Cadets scored the game-winning run in the top of the eight on a throwing error by Norwalk.
The loss snaps a five-game win streak for Ryan Mitchell's Bears. It is St. Joseph's third win in its last four games.
