Fairfield police are investigating a possible connection between two violent incidents involving men collecting cans to return for deposit money.
Police say the most recent incident happened on Monday.
They say a man collecting cans on Highlawn Road told them another person doing the same thing smashed the headlights on his car with a baseball bat.
Officers say the man with the bat may be the same person who attacked another man trying to collect cans three weeks ago.
