A group of cancer survivors collected toys in Bridgeport Saturday for kids who are battling cancer themselves.
The group says they were inspired by a young cancer patient being treated at Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford.
They say 17-year-old Kyla Porkony came up with the idea to collect toys this holiday season for kids being treated at the hospital.
Kelly David says her own battle with cancer made her sympathetic to the cause, so she decided to help.
Kyla and Kelly say it's a great feeling to help others.
