Car hits, critically injures 69-year-old pedestrian in Stamford

A 69-year-old Stamford resident was struck by a car and critically injured, police say.

A 69-year-old Stamford resident was struck by a car and critically injured, police say.
The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday near the I-95 Southbound Exit 9 offramp.
Police say a 2015 Chevy driven by a 26-year-old Shelton resident was exiting the interstate when the driver made a right turn onto East Main Street and struck the 69-year-old.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has other information on it to contact 203-977-4712.
