A Stamford woman is facing charges today after police say she stole thousands of dollars from an elderly woman she was caring for in Greenwich.
Police say Laura Luzardo, 28, worked as a home health aide for the woman, who suffers from dementia.
They say Luzardo used the victim's credit card and drained her bank account over the course of eight months.
Officers say many of Luzardo's purchases were at expensive shops on Greenwich Avenue.
They say the victim's guardian uncovered the fraud when a check bounced.
