Police are investigating a car theft that occurred at an Exxon gas station on Post Road East in Westport Monday afternoon.

A Mercedes Benz was stolen while it was being filled with gas.

The victim, who was present at the scene, attempted to stop the thief and suffered minor injuries in the process. The police are now seeking information from the public to aid in their investigation.
