Several cars were badly damaged last night when a truck that was transporting them struck a Metro-North railroad bridge in Darien. The accident happened on Post Road, where several signs indicate that the railroad bridge has only an 11-foot clearance. The truck driver claims that he believed the bridge had a higher clearance. No injuries were reported in the crash. Darien police say that Metro-North officials are investigating the accident. News 12 Connecticut's calls to the MTA police have so far gone unanswered.
