Woodbridge Regional Animal Control is asking for the public's help in identifying the person responsible for abandoning a cat in Seymour.
Officials said the cat was found Tuesday on South Main Street.
People who discovered the animal said it had been left overnight in a parking lot inside a crate with no food or water.

The cat is now safe as investigators work to determine who left it behind.
