Catholic leaders in Bridgeport bar parishioners from attending Holy Week services in person
Catholic leaders in Bridgeport have joined others across the state to bar parishioners from attending Holy Week services in person.
Priests say they will still be conducting all of Holy Week services, including Easter Mass, but encourage people to join along at home via livestream.
St. Mary's in Norwalk says it's giving their priests a crash course in telecommunications. The priest and a musician will still observe all of the traditions, and say they hope to reach the faithful through technology.
For those who don't have internet services, there are television programs and a Catholic radio station, 1350 AM, to get access to Holy Week services.
