New results from a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention survey confirm what many educators have been reporting-- poor mental health is becoming a growing problem in nearly all groups of young people.
The full report was released last week. It shows female, LGBQ+ students, in particular, are experiencing alarming rates of violence, poor mental health, suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
The takeaway from the report is that overall young people are experiencing a level of trauma and distress that requires action.
