A Bridgeport nonprofit is getting the word out today about its search for volunteers to take part in a new mentoring program designed to help young people.

The Center for Family Justice says mentors will work with kids 7 to 17 years old who've been impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, child abuse and other forms of trauma.

Organizers say they're looking for passionate and committed adults with special skills and talents to offer group mentoring sessions and to provide guidance throughout the year.

Volunteers will focus on a wide array of subjects, from STEM activities to resume writing, to job interviewing and leadership development.

Mentors in "The Pathways To Hope Program" will help kids aim high and achieve their dreams.
