Officials at a Bridgeport high school may be forced to close some students out of their senior prom after not booking a large enough catering hall. Central High School officials say the senior class has nearly 500 students, but the venue can only seat 320. Principal Aresta Johnson says their first choice for a catering hall fell through, and that they chose the current location based on the number of students who attended last year's junior prom. "I feel horrible that they all cannot participate," says Johnson. "But based upon the past numbers that we had, we used our best judgment in trying to secure a facility." A representative from the catering hall says the maximum attendance is 400. Johnson says the school is still trying to work out a solution.
