One of the state's best sporting traditions returned to the friendly confines of Norwalk High School this month. The 11th annual Dodgeball Tournament raised over $12,000 dollars for local charities.
In front of a packed gymnasium, dozens of high school students competed to win the tournament championship. The first ever installment of the event took place over a decade ago. It began as a way to raise money for earthquake victims in Haiti.
Players from the winning team of the inaugural Dodgeball Tournament participated in this year's student-run event.
Head Committee Member Marabella Zullo and Committee Member Campbell Heatly said the event helps bring the entire school community together for a good cause.
Team "The Hitmen" won this year's tournament.
