This week, Chef Roe Chlala, the co-founder of Festivities Events, shows Tina Redwine how to make unique and fun summer treats. 
Watermelon granita
Ingredients:
1. Left over watermelon from the watermelon cake
2. ½ cup sugar
3. Juice of 2 lemons
4. Optional – ½ cup vodka
Method:
1. Put pieces of watermelon in blender or nutra-bullet and blend
2. Put in bowl and add sugar and lemon juice (and vodka)
3. Place in shallow 9x13 or pie plate
4. Place in freezer- after 1 hour, begin to scrape the frozen watermelon
5. Continue to freeze and scrap.
6. When ready to serve, place granite (crystalized watermelon) in individual dessert glasses and garnish with mint.
