Gov. Ned Lamont announced chronic absenteeism is down 3%, thanks to the Learner Attendance and Engagement Program (LEOP).

Fewer kids are skipping school thanks to a new program in Connecticut classrooms.
Gov. Ned Lamont announced chronic absenteeism is down 3%, thanks to the Learner Attendance and Engagement Program (LEOP).
LEAP focused on home visits and check-ins.
It's currently set up in 14 school districts across the state.
