Several local car dealerships are parlaying the pain at the pump into an incentive to buy their vehicles.

Chrysler/Jeep is guaranteeing $3 a gallon gas for up to three years on some of its new models. With the price of regular gas around $4 a gallon in some place, this seems like a great deal for customers.

According to Chrysler/Jeep, there are some stipulations with the incentive. The $3 gas guarantee is only available on certain models. The price is only valid for regular gasoline and the gallons are capped at different amounts depending on the vehicle.

Some residents say the deal sounds too good to be true. However, according to the Georgetown Dealership in Norwalk, there is no catch to the deal. Officials at the dealership also say that so far, the incentive is generating a lot of interest.
