Mayor de Blasio announced the city has struck a tentative contract deal with DC 37, the city's largest public employee union representing more than 100,000 workers.
DC 37 has been without a contract for four years. The new deal ensures 10 percent in raises over a seven-year period as well as a $1,000 bonus.
The mayor says at this point, about 60 percent of the city's workforce has contract agreements and a pattern has been established for future negotiations.
