Clinton man piloting glider dies after crash into Deep River woods

State police say troopers and the Deep River Fire Department responded to the area of Cedar Lake Road for a report of small glider that crashed into the woods at 4:15 p.m.

A Clinton man piloting an ultralight glider on Friday crashed into the woods in Deep River. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
State police say troopers and the Deep River Fire Department responded to the area of Cedar Lake Road for a report of small glider that crashed into the woods at 4:15 p.m.
Once on scene, troopers found a single engine ultralight glider. The pilot was identified as Bradley Darr.
Officials did not provide information on what led to the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration, National Transportation Safety Board and Connecticut Airport Authority were informed of the crash. State police are investigating the incident.
