CL&P: Power restored in New Canaan after underground fire

Connecticut Light and Power officials say that power has been restored in New Canaan after an underground fire shut it off downtown. Around 4,400 people lost power for several hours earlier today. Officials

Connecticut Light and Power officials say that power has been restored in New Canaan after an underground fire shut it off downtown.
Around 4,400 people lost power for several hours earlier today. Officials say the downtown area surrounding the fire had to be evacuated due to exploding manholes.
Officials set up a cooling center at Lapham Community Center for those that needed it.
