A coach bus caught fire on Route 8 in Shelton, officials say.

The fire broke out last night around Exit 13.

Authorities say the bus was not carrying any passengers. The driver was able to make it out of the bus.

Two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion at the scene and were eventually cleared to return to work.

The highway was closed while officials put out the fire but has since reopened.
