The Coast Guard has called off the search for a Connecticut native who went missing while on a fishing trip more than a week ago.
Authorities say they now presume that 54-year-old Linda Carman is dead.
On Sunday, rescue crews found her son, 22-year-old Nathan Carman, drifting in an inflatable life raft off the coast of Massachusetts.
He told investigators their 31-foot boat sank, and his mother never made it to the raft.
