A campaign is underway to make former Easton resident Helen Keller the new face of the $10 bill.
Selectman Bob Lessler is urging state residents to write Treasury Secretary Jack Lew to suggest Keller become the first woman on a paper bill.
Earlier this year, the Treasury announced it would place a woman on the $10 bill and asked for suggestions from the public.
Helen Keller lost her hearing and sight to an infection when she was only a baby, but went on to become an author and political activist.
