State Comptroller Sean Scanlon held a roundtable talk on gun violence Thursday in Bridgeport at the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club.
The discussion highlighted Connecticut-based organizations, support, and resources available to people affected by gun violence.
Panelists included Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim and state Rep. Steve Stafstrom, as well as gun violence prevention and mental health professionals.
Participants agreed that illegal guns entering Connecticut from other states that have looser gun laws are a problem.
