Proposed roadway improvements may give relief to Darien and Norwalk commuters.
Governor Jodi Rell (R-CT) announced the state bond commission is expected to approve $24.5 million in efforts to clear up traffic and congestion on the road. The plan is to add "speed change lanes" that stretch between the on and off ramps in Darien and Norwalk. The extra lanes will make it easier to make the short trips on and off the highway without merging and getting stuck in traffic.
Rell says this is just part of a larger initiative to alleviate congestion.
