Some southwestern Connecticut doctors say they?ve been bombarded with questions from parents since they began distributing the swine flu vaccine.
Many doctors? offices started giving out the vaccine in nasal-spray form over the weekend. Pediatricians say they?re seeing a lot of parents concerned about the vaccine?s safety, but stress that they shouldn?t be.
Dr. Lori Storch Smith, of Bay Street Pediatrics in Westport, says she?s advising her patients to get the vaccine because the benefits outweigh the risks.
Still, many parents say they?re on the fence about whether it?s necessary to vaccinate their children.
