Connecticut agency investigated incident involving family of Hutch crash victims

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families says it was asked by Child Protective Services to perform a courtesy visit to interview the children based on an alleged incident in New York.

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families says it had previous contact with the family of the five children from Connecticut killed in a crash on the Hutchinson River Parkway.
The department says it was asked by Child Protective Services to perform a courtesy visit to interview the children based on an alleged incident in New York.
The department is now reviewing its interactions with the involved families.
Officials called the crash an unspeakable tragedy and say thoughts are with the family, friends, neighbors, and others who knew the children who are now grieving their loss.
