Residents spent Friday running errands and stocking up on food and supplies as southwestern Connecticut prepared for snow.

People heading to the supermarket say they plan on spending Saturday inside and away from roads as they're concerned about icy, dangerous conditions. Others say after Sandy, they can't handle any more damage.

"I have a lot of trees around my house and they're very high," said Norwalk resident Donna Granate. "I'm concerned about them falling."
