Hospitalizations related to the coronavirus increased for the first time in a week in Connecticut on Friday.

The tally climbed by 18 patients, bringing the total amount of residents in the hospital over 400 statewide.

The daily coronavirus positivity rate also increased slightly to 2.87%.

Around 1,200 new cases were reported, putting the state’s total over 296,000.
