Connecticut could soon be getting thousands of more doses of vaccines in the
fight against the coronavirus.
The Food and Drug Administration’s advisory panel gave their approval for
Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine for emergency use.
The decision came after a day-long hearing Friday.
The recommendation now goes to the full FDA, which could sign off on it as
early as today.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine would be the first single-shot vaccine in the
U.S. against the coronavirus.
Connecticut is expected to get 30,000 doses as soon as next week if it is
approved.
