Connecticut lawmakers have voted to approve a ban on "deceptive statements" at crisis pregnancy centers.
Wednesday's vote was along party lines, 87-56. The measure now heads to Gov. Ned Lamont.
The ban would include places like Hopeline in Stamford and Bridgeport.
Under the law, the state Attorney General could sue a pregnancy center for misleading patients.
If Gov. Lamont signs the law, pregnancy centers say they'll challenge it in court.
