State lawmakers in Connecticut are taking up two different plans to give parents tax relief.
Democrats want a tax credit worth up to $150.00 for families with three children. Over the next four years, the credit would rise to $1,800 in total.
The tax credit starts phasing out for families making over $160,000 per year.
Meanwhile, Republicans want to offer all parents a $2,000 tax deduction per child.
