The state of Connecticut has a new identity.
State officials rolled out a new branding campaign Tuesday, which they hope better summarizes what Connecticut life is all about.
Polls conducted for the project say most residents love the state, but they wouldn't all recommend it for everybody. This disconnect is why the state has launched a new campaign called "Make It Here."
The new campaign replaces the "Still Revolutionary" campaign the state first rolled out in 2012. Officials say since that time, Connecticut has grown in population and diversity. However, surveys conducted for the project showed a lack of state pride.
The project cites Connecticut as a hub for Fortune 500 companies and small businesses, national champion sports teams and the arts as well as a budding tourism scene.
Officials say "Make It Here" better highlights these strengths and can change the way the state is perceived by residents and others.
Advertising for the more than $1 million campaign begins in November.
