A number of malls in the area opened on Thanksgiving Day to allow shoppers to get an early start on Black Friday savings.
The Connecticut Post Mall opened its doors at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
Residents lined up early at the Target outside the mall to get their hands on deeply discounted merchandise.
The Trumbull Mall and Stamford Town Center also were open for business Thursday.
