Connecticut residents were asked who the scariest classic horror movie villain is.
Residents at Spookytown in Westport say between Jason Voorhees of "Friday The 13th," Michael Myers of "Halloween" and Freddy Krueger of "Nightmare on Elm Street," there really is no clear-cut winner, because they are all so scary.
All Home Connections recently collected heart rate data to find out which classic horror movie villain is the scariest of them all. Participants wore a heart rate device while watching more than 5,700 minutes of horror films. According to the survey, Michael Myers of the "Halloween" franchise ranked the scariest with making viewers heart rates go up 130 bpm.
Jason Voorhees of "Friday the 13th" ranked No. 2 and Freddy Kruger of "Nightmare on Elm Street" ranked No. 3.
Spookytown in Westport says the survey is pretty accurate considering, Michael Myers costumes are their most popular villain costume - with only one left in stock today.
