Connecticut's senators are demanding Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell allow a vote on the CASH Act.
It would provide $2,000 in stimulus payments.
The CASH Act would be an additional $1,400 on top of the $600 passed relief package.
Sens. Blumenthal and Murphy say while that package is a good start, $600 is not enough for people struggling.
Murphy says even though the vaccine is being distributed, it could be a tough winter for many in the state.
On Monday, the CASH Act was passed in the House with a bipartisan majority.
