State troopers are on extra patrol as part of a nearly two-week long stretch to keep holiday travelers safe.
They say officers have responded to more than 12,000 calls for service since Dec. 20.
There were 740 accidents in that time, including four fatalities. They say 59 people were busted for DUI, 520 were caught speeding while another 1,600 were ticketed for hazardous moving violations.
The extended crackdown will continue through New Year's Day.
