There are some large areas of Connecticut that have little to no high-speed internet, but that could be about to change.
The state is getting almost $6 million from Washington to map out which areas need service.
After that, Connecticut expects to get $100 million more to lay fiber optic cables and new wireless access points.
Officials say rural areas and high-rise buildings in inner cities have the worst service.
